EDCS Professional Credential with Community Practicum

For licensed professionals, both new to the eating disorders field seeking to deepen understanding and increase confidence and also established eating disorders practitioners seeking to refresh knowledge, strengthen your practice, and increase recognition for your expertise: Earn your EDCS (Eating Disorders Credentialed Specialist) credential with 11 self-paced courses, plus a convenient, built-in practicum. Ideal for all busy licensed professionals seeking to gain valuable hours and expand your network of colleagues, the 18-hour practicum consists of 12 live community sessions, 90 minutes each. You must be a licensed clinical mental health, dietetics, or other health care provider with a minimum *graduate-level degree or equivalent, 1000 direct clinical hours, which must be completed prior to taking the EDCS final assessment (can include pre-licensure hours), and 500 indirect hours or per your licensure requirement. In addition to the EDCS designation, which is valid for 3 years, you will receive a virtual EDCS credential badge, a downloadable, printable EDCS credential document, proof of CEUs, and lifelong access to course content.

*Registered dietitians are exempt from the graduate degree requirement if they received an undergraduate degree prior to January, 2024.
